A renewed right to study can be applied for through a separate application for the same or a similar degree in which the applicant’s previously commenced studies have been interrupted. The applicant’s eligibility is determined based on the following reasons:

• The student’s previous higher education studies that he or she started in Finland have been interrupted, and the student’s original right to study is not at Vaasa University of Applied Sciences.
• Students at Vaasa University of Applied Sciences who have given up their study place themselves (the student has withdrawn from their studies).
• The study place has ended after August 1, 2026, due to the regulation of one university place, and the requirement is to participate in the student selection process again.
