About this programme

Interdisciplinary teaching content is applied to practical tasks in the course of project work. Students receive highly individualised support from our teaching staff. Construction design, construction economics, revitalisation, structural engineering and construction, project management, project control, energy-efficient building are specialist fields which play an important part in the course and in professional life. Our partnership arrangements with universities in several European countries allow you to spend a semester studying abroad without prolonging the course. Firms in the construction sector give presentations and tell students about job prospects and career opportunities. Our students have the option of learning how to build and plaster a wall under professional supervision. This practical experience is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the FH JOANNEUM. The scientific knowledge acquired is incorporated into teaching and our students have the opportunity to work on research projects. This often provides fascinating subjects for the bachelor thesis.
