About this programme

The Midwifery Bachelor’s program combines in-depth knowledge of obstetrics, medicine, and health sciences with intensive practical training. From the very beginning, you’ll gain hands-on experience in delivery rooms, postpartum units, and out-of-hospital settings. You’ll also gain insights into the fields of gynecology and neonatology. Internships in every semester of the Midwifery Program directly connect your theoretical knowledge with everyday professional practice. The midwifery program prepares you for both hospital-based practice and independent practice as a midwife. You will learn to provide independent care to women and families while collaborating with other healthcare professionals in an interprofessional setting. Modern SkillsLabs and simulation rooms allow you to practice procedures, communication, and emergency situations safely and realistically during your midwifery program before applying them in a clinical setting.
