About this programme

The one-year LL.M. in Global Business Law and Regulation is a specialized program designed for legal professionals who seek a practice-oriented legal education in the field of international business law. The one-year LL.M. in Global Business Law and Regulation program explores the legal setting of business transactions in a transnational environment, including the players and the regulatory framework of international business. Established as the International Business Law (IBL) Program in 1991, the program responded to the evolving global business environment by enhancing its core curriculum and introducing regulations-focused courses in 2020, when it also changed its name to LL.M. in Global Business Law and Regulation. The Master of Laws in Global Business Law and Regulation at CEU is registered with the New York State Education Department in the United States and accredited by AQ Austria in Austria. CEU is accredited in the United States by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Find out more about accreditation at CEU . You will participate in highly interactive classes that enable students to hone their critical analysis, negotiation, and argumentation skills during discussions and group projects. The culmination of the LL.M. in Global Business Law and Regulation is a capstone thesis - either a traditional academic thesis exploring a particular legal question or a more practice-oriented paper such as an amicus curiae brief or a policy paper advocating specific legislative reform.
