About this programme

Completion of first-year requirements, including at least 1.0 essay course, satisfied with either two half–year courses or one full–year course, with a mark of at least 60%. Anthropology, English, Centre for Global Social Innovation, Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies, Geography and Environment, History, Indigenous Studies, Media and Communication Studies, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Social Justice and Peace Studies, and Sociology are recommended as first year courses. Students should note the Diversality Requirement for graduation in this module when selecting first year courses. 1.5 courses: GSI 2003F/G, GSI 3005F/G, GSI 3515F/G . 0.5 course from: GSI 2002F/G, GSI 2004F/G . 0.5 course from: GSI 3001F/G, GSI 3006F/G . 1.0 course from: GSI 3512F/G, GSI 3523F/G, GSI 3529F/G, GSI 3530F/G . 1.0 course from: GSI 3521F/G, GSI 3522F/G, GSI 3524F/G, GSI 3531F/G . 4.5 courses from: GSI 3000-4999 level; or up to 2.0 non–GSI courses at the 2200 level or higher from Arts and Humanities, Social Science, or Information and Media Studies that engage directly with Cultural Forces of Global Change content, as approved by the Centre for Global Social Innovation. Students must include within or with their undergraduate program identifiable forms of academic study and/or experiences that enhance their abilities to appreciate, affirm, and gain practice in acknowledging the richly diverse ways in which persons and communities in the world know and orient themselves to one another and the cycles of life that sustain their communities.
