About this programme

The Department of Political Science at the University of Windsor sits on the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, which includes the Ojibwa, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi and invite all to reflect on the legacies of colonialism in Canada and around the world. Political scientists study power: who holds it, how it is exercised, and how our lives are influenced by politicians, bureaucrats, and other important institutions and individuals. Similarly, the study of international relations (IR) addresses these processes and issues at the global level and in the relations between political actors with international reach. The study of political science and international relations at the University of Windsor introduces students to political, economic, legal and social issues in Canada and around the world. The UWindsor Department of Political Science offers several undergraduate programs and a master's program that prepare our students for careers in law, public service, business, education, academia, and many other professional and academic settings. More information on our programs, our faculty, and available financial support can be found in the links on the images on this webpage.
