About this programme
As our reliance on advanced medical diagnostic and therapeutic equipment to deliver healthcare grows, so do the technology-related risks faced by both patients and clinical staff. Biomedical engineering technologists address these risks throughout the lifecycle of medical devices. This includes tasks such as specification, inspection, calibration, repair and maintenance, as well as technical troubleshooting. The Biomedical Engineering Technology program will equip you with the fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience required for a successful career in this field. You will develop your expertise in electronics, microcontroller applications, computer network systems, and medical imaging systems. You will also gain familiarity with medical laboratory practices, anatomy, physiology and health technology management. Start your application today! Many programs have limited availability, so applying early can improve your chances for admission. Get the information and support you need to make the decision that's right for you. At NAIT, we honour and acknowledge that the land on which we learn, work and live is Treaty Six territory. We seek to learn from history and the lessons that have come before us, and to draw on the wisdom of the First Peoples in Canada. Only through learning can we move forward in truth and reconciliation, and to a better future together. Read more
