About this programme
NAIT’s Engineering Design Technology program will provide you with the theoretical and practical training that will serve as the foundation for an exciting career as an engineering design technologist. Engineering design technologists play a key role in the development of construction, infrastructure and manufacturing projects by creating detailed drawings and drafts that bridge the gap between concept and practical implementation. They work in key industries such as engineering consulting, construction, fabrication and manufacturing. In NAIT’s two-year program, you will learn how to create engineering drawings and 3D models using traditional methods and the latest computer-aided design and drafting software. You will become adept at preparing and interpreting design and working drawings and using major CAD software such as AutoCad and MicroStation. Discover a career that combines creativity with technology and is in high demand with NAIT’s Engineering Design Technology diploma. Start your application today! Many programs have limited availability, so applying early can improve your chances for admission. Get the information and support you need to make the decision that's right for you. At NAIT, we honour and acknowledge that the land on which we learn, work and live is Treaty Six territory. We seek to learn from history and the lessons that have come before us, and to draw on the wisdom of the First Peoples in Canada. Only through learning can we move forward in truth and reconciliation, and to a better future together. Read more
