About this programme

As a Health Care Aide, you’ll work in hospitals, care homes, or even right in someone’s living room. You’ll help people with everyday things, like eating, getting dressed, and moving around. But it’s more than just tasks. You’ll build real connections with clients and their families, making every day a little brighter. This program follows the Government of Alberta’s approved 2019 Health Care Aide curriculum. When you graduate, you’ll be certified to work as a Health Care Aide anywhere in Alberta. You'll learn through a blended delivery format. Classes and assignments will take place online . While your labs and clinical placements will be in-person. We are excited to offer the HCA program in multiple communities, including Red Deer, Drumheller, Innisfail, Ponoka, Rocky Mountain House, Stettler and Sundre. As a student in the Health Care Aide program, you'll complete three practicum placements across diverse healthcare settings.
