About this programme
Please note: The new 12-month Bachelor of Education program begins May 2027 . The deadline to submit your TEAS application is November 2, 2026 . Study in Trent's leading School of Education to become certified to teach at any school in Ontario in just 12 months and graduate with 90 days of experience in real classrooms. Launch your teaching career through Trent's intensive B.Ed. program that connects educational theory with meaningful classroom practice. Learn from faculty and educators with a range of expertise while developing the judgement, confidence and professional relationships to support diverse learners and begin teaching in Ontario elementary and secondary schools with purpose. Every Bachelor of Education student has a guaranteed route to paid, credited experience before they graduate. Trent gave me the chance. It was the first time I made a lot of friends as myself and I spent a lot of time figuring out who I was, what kind of leader, person I wanted to be. Not only discovered, but got comfortable in my own skin at Trent. When it came to Teacher Education, Trent was really the only place I wanted to stay and further my education because I started to realize that there were people here that cared about me, and let me be me. Generally, the Consecutive B.Ed. is open to those who have completed a three or four-year bachelor’s degree, with a minimum 70% in their most recent ten full course equivalents. Selection is based on equal weighting of academic achievement and related experience.
