About this programme
The Dual Credit program is designed to give you the opportunity to begin your post-secondary journey while in high school - offering a head start grounded in the unique strengths and opportunities of the North. Through early access to university-level trades pre-apprenticeship programs and academic courses, you will gain skills, confidence, and a strong sense of YukonU to guide your learning into the future. By enroling in this program, you’ll earn credits that apply to both your high school graduation requirements and a YukonU certificate, diploma, or degree. When selecting courses or pre-apprenticeship trades in the Dual Credit program, please work with your teacher or guidance counsellor to ensure they meet the requirements for your high school graduation. For more information about the Dual Credit Program please contact the Yukon University Admissions Team. To support students in applying and securing seats in courses and the trades pre-apprenticeship programs, YukonU will accept interim high school transcripts as part of the application process. Official final transcripts are not required at the time of application. We ask that you please provide the final transcript before the following dates: Many YukonU undergraduate courses are transferable to college and university programs across Canada.
