Commerce and Business Administration (Diploma)

About this programme

Get an introduction to a variety of business and other subjects with the Diploma in Commerce and Business Administration. You’ll learn about economics, marketing, accounting and other core topics that provide a strong foundation to thrive in the modern business world. You’ll benefit from class projects that focus on real-world situations and from the resources in our state-of-the-art computer labs. Put your skills to work by joining the optional Co-operative Education Program , which alternates semesters of study with paid, full-time work in your field. You’ll earn money while gaining experience, building your resume and getting an employer reference. To participate in Co-op you need to plan two semesters in advance, so we strongly recommend contacting the Co-op Office at the start of your program. This credential is specifically designed to offer courses that transfer directly to the third year of the Bachelor of Commerce at UBC and the Bachelor of Business Administration at SFU . If you select your courses carefully with a specific business program in mind, this program may also transfer to the third year of a degree at other research universities. To ensure your courses transfer, see the BC Transfer Guide . Note: Some courses in this program require students to have completed Foundations of Math 11 with a grade of C (some courses may have a higher requirement). Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you check each individual course prerequisite and ensure that you have completed requirements prior to registration.
