About this programme

In the Interdisciplinary Art, Media and Design (IAMD) program you’ll join a community of emerging and established makers, thinkers, researchers, community leaders, explorers, mentors, writers and performers. With your instructors, peers, visiting artists and diverse creative communities you will build and share global, local and intercultural dialogue through art, media and design methodologies. You’ll explore interdisciplinary processes of making and research to expand the context of your practice with ancestral traditions, performance, media and digital fabrication, building capacities for the future. Your portfolio demonstrating a practice of art or design will determine the degree of pathways to an MFA or MDes. Jj is an artist and associate professor whose work and process explores the intersection of culture and hybrid identities. Jay is an interdisciplinary designer investigating ancestral knowledges through inter-dimensional models of digital and physical environments. Peter Morin is a Tahltan Nation artist, curator, and writer. Morin’s practice-based research investigates the impact zones that occur when indigenous cultural-based practices and western settler colonialism collide. Natalie Waldburger’s current art practice is open-disciplinary and seeks to understand the complexities of respectful collaboration and participatory work in the context of anti-colonial research.
