About this programme
The Master of Science degree requires the demonstration of a reasonable mastery of a concentrated field of study. The latter is attested by the achieving of satisfactory standings in the minimum number of graduate courses required by the respective Faculty, the completion of a research project, and the writing of a thesis based upon the research. There will be considerable interaction and co-operation among the departments/faculties to provide courses and research facilities to meet the needs of individual students and their research projects. Graduate students will register in one designated areas of specialization; in this case, Sustainable Design Engineering (SDE). The personal information requested on this form is collected under Section 31(c) of the PEI Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Read our Disclaimer . Note: Current UPEI students should refer to Student Planning in myUPEI and the UPEI Academic Calendar governing their entry year, and speak to an academic advisor about course requirements. The course structure presented for this program is a recommended, unofficial progression for prospective students. Cross-level listed courses must account for no more than one‑third of the total coursework required for program completion, which equates to a maximum of one (1) elective course, with the Thesis course excluded from this calculation. A student may take one (1) or both elective courses from the 8000‑level graduate‑only offerings, and no more than one (1) course from the 6000‑ or 7000‑level cross-level listed courses.
