About this programme
The School of Nursing's doctoral program gives you the skills required to become an expert in clinical, theoretical, and health system issues, all while preparing you for leadership roles in health research, nursing education, clinical practice, and health care administration. Designed for those passionate about developing a scientific basis for nursing practice, the MNSc program is offered in both course-based and thesis-based patterns. You'll learn critical appraisal and research skills within a supportive academic environment that values scholarship. With this degree, you'll be equipped for success in clinical practice, nursing education, or health care management. From the beginning of this program, you will actively participate in clinical practice and research, gaining the knowledge, skills, and judgment needed to become an advanced practice nurse. Upon degree completion, you'll be eligible to write the Canadian Nurse Practitioner Licensure Examination. The NP Graduate Diploma program is a one-year, full-time or two-year, part-time course of study for nurses who already have a master’s degree and want to become advanced practice nurses.
