Data Science (BSc)

About this programme

The Data Science (BSc) program at Wilfrid Laurier University prepares you to transform complex data into meaningful insights using mathematics, statistics and computer science. Through co-op, competitions like Datathons and the Putnam Mathematical Competition, and research opportunities including the NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA), you'll develop the analytical and computational skills to interpret large datasets and support data-driven decision-making. Customize your degree with a concentration in big data, financial risk analysis or statistical analysis. Graduates pursue careers such as data scientist, data engineer or big data architect in fields including finance, insurance, marketing and healthcare, as well as graduate studies in mathematics, statistics, computer science and related disciplines. Discover what makes this Laurier program unique and how you'll gain real-world experience. Your future professors work hard to make sure your academic experience is current, complete and designed to open doors in your career.
