About this programme
The Sobey Master of Applied Economics (MAE) program provides you with the skills you need to apply the tools of economic analysis to real-world issues in both public and business sectors. For a full time student, the program takes 12 months to complete, and with a part-time option, it is flexible enough to meet the needs of working professionals. Entrance scholarships are available for well-qualified Canadian and international applicants, ranging from $5,000 – $10,000. Prospective students are automatically considered for scholarships when they submit their applications. Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis; students are encouraged to apply early to the program to receive full consideration. In my job as an Economist, I am required to monitor and analyze the economic and social conditions in Nova Scotia and understand how changing markets and policy will impact the people and economy of the province. With the economic and statistical concepts, data analysis skills, and hands-on software training I gained during the MAE program, I'm well prepared to contribute and succeed as a professional economist.
