About this programme
Research, evaluate, and help solve the psychology and neuroscience challenges of today alongside expert faculty through Trent's research-focused master’s program. Explore psychology and neuroscience through a research-intensive master’s program with three distinct fields of study. Apply research techniques suited to your interests with guidance from experienced faculty in quantitative and qualitative methods, while gaining hands-on experience through thesis research and experiential learning. Develop the knowledge, skills and training to pursue careers in academia, government, non-profit and industry settings or further doctoral studies. Complete a research-focused master’s degree in two years of full-time study. The program combines coursework with advanced, one-on-one research under the guidance of a faculty advisor, culminating in an original research project and thesis. Trent's Psychology Department is home to globally recognized researchers specializing in health, development, cognition, perception, and neuroscience. M.Sc. students can pursue research in one of three fields of study: The M.Sc. Psychology program has truly prepared me for success. I am grateful for the support of my professors who have not only helped me acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field, but who have also encouraged me to achieve my personal goals throughout my time at Trent University.
