The Graduate Certificate in Quantum Computing is intended to provide an introduction to the essentials of quantum computing software, applications, and use cases, and an introduction to how quantum computing is used in industry with a focus on adoption of systems, structure and economics for platforms, and impacts to organizations. As quantum computing technology moves from a theoretical state to one available for commercial use, the certificate program will provide critical expertise and foundational knowledge in applicability and how quantum technologies can integrate with existing IT infrastructure in industrial settings. Completing the Graduate Certificate in Quantum Computing requires 4 courses consisting of: Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate in Quantum Computing will be eligible to apply for admission to the Graduate Diploma in Quantum Computing , and, if admitted, will receive laddering credit for the 12 units of coursework completed. Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate and the Graduate Diploma and who are subsequently accepted into the Master of Quantum Computing (MQuaC), Laddered Pathway will be granted 24 units (12 units each for the Certificate and Diploma) of laddering credit. There can be no more than five years between completing a credential in the laddered pathway and enrolling in the next credential. Students completing the laddered pathway will receive a parchment for each credential earned in the pathway.
