About this programme

The amount of data in our world has grown exponentially, and so has the demand for professionals who can make sense of it all. Data scientists extract data to create visualizations, forecasts, or manipulations. The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Applied Data Science program is designed to help meet the rising demand for data scientists and analysts, and provide specialized training in the area. This program directly addresses the provincial and national shortage of skilled labour in the field of Applied Data Science. This program is open to domestic and international students who already have an undergraduate degree. Students can upgrade their education and develop the skill sets necessary to build a career in either the private or public sectors. Data science (systems), machine learning, and artificial intelligence are very lucrative robust industries globally and locally. Careers are permeating down to startups and to local companies that require expertise in these areas. Graduates will have the necessary skills to compete for desirable roles as data scientists, data architect designers, strategic analysis managers, and data analysts in software development, business intelligence, medical/health research, and data management.
