About this programme

The MEd Contemporary Issues in Education with a study theme in Literacy Education provides a comprehensive foundation in reading, writing, and communication by integrating theory, research, and practice across courses focused on cognition, assessment, classroom interaction, and contemporary literacies. It also emphasizes equity, and evidence-based intervention, preparing educators to support diverse learners and lead literacy development in modern educational settings. This study theme for the 2027 intake is piloting a fully online version of the program. The program is completed over three years. Fall and Winter terms will be online asynchronously and it is anticipated that the summer components in July will be online synchronous.
