About this programme
Nanoscience is a fascinating combination of physics, chemistry and biology. The research at Nanoscience Center (NSC), JYU covers both experimental and theoretical investigation of molecules, materials and structures in the scale of 1–100 nanometers i.e. the size of a single molecule. Nanoscience influences many technological areas from biotechnology to quantum technology, thus there is an increasing need for multidisciplinary experts in nanoscientific research and development. In the Master’s Degree Programme in Nanoscience you will use high-tech methods and instruments. You will for example to learn characterize and control single molecules, produce materials in nanoscale, and to modify them into functional devices.
