Regular WCE programme 40 years of groundbreaking research and cooperation with international telecommunication companies, like Nokia, Mediatek, etc. and Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC) has been the foundation for the programme development in wireless communications engineering. This programme offers you relevant skills and core knowledge of the latest methods, tools and technologies related to the design on wireless communications networks systems. WCE studies are organized by CWC's Radio Technologies and Networks & Systems research units. CWC offers a multitude of different research opportunities for talented graduate and doctoral students, as well as for postdocs. Courses cover the subjects on advanced wireless communications systems, communications networks, stochastic signal processing methods, radio channel modelling, radio and antenna engineering, communication, information and coding theories, advanced mathematics in optimization and numerical matrix analysis, as well as several electronics design, digital signal & video processing, computer engineering, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Finnish language courses depending on student’s selection. As a graduate of the programme, you will get foundational background in a growing, dynamic field of wireless communications including networking, system level design, algorithms, and radio engineering technologies up to 1 THz and beyond. The skills gained in the programme offer a solid academic training that answers to the demands of wireless communications industry. After graduating you can apply study rights for doctoral training in University of Oulu Graduate School (UniOGS). WCE Double Degree (DD-WCE) programme The DD-WCE programme is a two-year full-time programme focusing on 6G and beyond. The comprehensive Study Programme beyond BSc provides students with knowledge and skills in fundamentals and applications of wireless networks and standardization activities. The solid foundations provided are further strengthened with students' exposure to the Finnish industry environment and ongoing joint research with world’s top research groups. The DD-WCE programme is conducted in cooperation with the University of Oulu (UOulu), Finland and University of Peradeniya (UoP), Sri Lanka.
