The studies are scheduled to build professional competences from the first year of studies onwards. After bachelor studies, the student can focus on i) electronics design, ii) electronics materials and components, iii) future electronics and measurement techniques, iv) telecommunication or v) radio engineering. In addition to the chosen specialization field of study and the related advanced studies, the studies usually also include a rather large set of studies in one of the other study fields mentioned above, as well as optional studies. In addition to mathematics, physics and signal processing, the focus of the bachelor's studies in the Electronics and communications engineering program is in professional subjects focusing on electronics design, computer engineering and programming, measurement engineering, electronic components and materials, and communications engineering. The studies are grouped in such a way that the student's professional competence is accumulated immediately from the first year of study. In the master's degree in electronics and communication engineering, the focus is on electronic design, telecommunication technology, radio engineering, measurement technology, electronics materials and components, and future electronics solutions. The degree program provides its students with a broad and in-depth foundation to focus on different types of career opportunities or research. The degree program trains specialists and multidisciplinary experts for challenging tasks.
