About this programme
At the University of Oulu, geography is divided into five fields of specialization: physical geography, human geography, tourism geography, geoinformatics as well as regional development and regional policy. Geography has a special role as a mediator between social and natural sciences. A student can also apply for the double degree programme which is co-operated with the partner university the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, in Germany and Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione IULM in Italy. The specialization of a student selected for the double degree program is tourism geography. At the double degree program, student conducts half of their studies at the University of Oulu and half at one of the partner universities.
