About this programme
The growing use of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and digital services is increasing the demand for professionals who understand both digital technologies and the infrastructure that supports them. The AI and Digital Infrastructure Engineering programme prepares you to design, build and operate the infrastructure behind tomorrow's digital world. The studies give you a solid foundation in electrical engineering and information technology. You will also develop specialised expertise in data centre technologies, digital infrastructure, and critical systems that must operate reliably around the clock. Sustainability, energy efficiency, security, and safety are key themes integrated throughout the programme. You will learn how different technologies, energy systems, network infrastructure, and data centre environments interact to support reliable and resilient digital services. You will also have opportunities to participate in practical projects, laboratory work, and collaboration with industry partners. The studies are offered in collaboration between the LAB University of Applied Sciences and LUT University, combining a strong theoretical foundation with hands-on, industry-oriented learning. The programme provides eligibility for master's degree studies in electrical engineering and software engineering at LUT University and offers excellent opportunities for further academic and professional development.
