Erogato in inglese, questo Corso coniuga conoscenze approfondite relative alla matematica applicata e alle altre scienze di base, in particolare fisica e finanza, con un'avanzata conoscenza degli aspetti teorico-scientifici dell'ingegneria in generale, per sviluppare strumenti di indagine avanzati di tipo modellistico e matematico. Una formazione versatile che ti consentirà di affrontare problemi sperimentali, computazionali, tecnologici, economici, epistemologici collegati alla costruzione, verifica della validità e utilizzazione di modelli e di spendere tali competenze per identificare, interpretare, descrivere, formulare e risolvere problemi dell'ingegneria anche complessi. Potrai operare in contesti diversificati quali società di ingegneria per attività di supporto alla progettazione e sperimentazione, software house, istituti bancari e assicurativi, amministrazioni pubbliche ed enti di ricerca pubblici e privati. Alle studentesse e agli studenti iscritti a questo corso di laurea magistrale viene offerta la possibilità di candidarsi sia a un programma di doppio titolo in Mathematical Engineering con la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spagna) che l’opportunità di partecipare ad un doppio titolo T.I.M.E. , con diversi atenei membri tra Europa e Asia . Al termine del percorso di doppio titolo, gli studenti e le studentesse ottengono la laurea magistrale in Mathematical Engineering (Unipd) e un Master’s Degree rilasciato dall’ateneo ospitante. - Bachelor diploma (or equivalent) A minimum three-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent) preferably in the field of: Civil and Environmental Engineering, Information Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science. Other degree programmes can be considered for admission, if they cover the following subjects : Mathematics (Mathematical Analysis, Algebra, Geometry, Probability and Mathematical Statistics, Mathematical Physics, Numerical Analysis); Physics; Statistics (Statistics, Mathematical Methods for Economy, Finance and Actuarial Sciences).
