The Professional Master Study Programme "Technical Translation" provides training of technical translators in such fields as mechanical engineering, logistics, power engineering, material science, information technologies, telecommunications, civil engineering, architecture and town planning, engineering economics and others. The Professional Master Study Programme consolidates and expands students‘ experience, knowledge and skills in field-specific technical translation acquired within the framework of the Professional Bachelor Study programme.The concept of the study programme differs from similar translation study programmes in the Humanities. It has an additional emphasis on applied linguistics and covers activities which concern specific practical applications. Graduates of the study programme should not only develop competence in dealing with the constantly growing volume of terminology, but also develop subject knowledge in the respective fields.
