Entry requirements

Prerequisites

Applicants must have a full qualification at MQF level 6 in Information Technology/Computer Science/Engineering bachelor's program or a related discipline (e.g., applied physics or mathematics). Students are expected to have undergraduate training in computer programming, software development, the basic concept of algorithm or mathematical modelling. Specifically, all incoming students are expected to meet the following fundamental requirements: (1) general knowledge of science, engineering science at his undergraduate degree, (2) complete at least one course of computing/programming (e.g., an introductory module using a high-level language such as Java, C++, C#, Visual Basic, C, or Python) at his undergraduate degree. Most undergraduate programs in science and engineering provide the necessary background. Students deficient in one or more of these areas may be admitted into the MS program on Provisional Status. Advancement to Regular Graduate Status will not be considered until all deficiencies have been rectified. Admission is based on evaluation of the applicant's letter of intent, undergraduate transcript, IELTS or TOEFL score, letters of recommendation, and professional experience (if any). Applicants are expected to have an undergraduate GPA of 3.00 at 4.00 scale on the last 60 units (120 ECTS) of his/her assessment.
