Prerequisites

Prospective students must be in possession of: A relevant MQF/EQF Level 5 · An MQF/EQF Level 4 full qualification, AND a portfolio evidencing relevant experience in the diving sector for at least 3 years and evidence of appropriate writing and analytical skills to ensure that the prospective candidate can fully and meaningfully participate in the course, and work experience at professional and/or executive level for at least 5 years. In addition, other appropriate related MQF level 4 and 5 qualifications that would be acceptable as entry criteria include: Level MQF/EQF 4 Diplomas in: Travel and tourism management Events Environmental sustainability Applied Sciences Health Sciences Fish Management Level MQF/EQF 5 Higher Natioanl Diplomas in: Travel and tourism management Events Environmental sustainability Applied Sciences Health Sciences Fish Management In addition to any of the above entry requirements, given that this course includes numerous practical (diving) components, it is a mandatory requirement for applicants to be in possession of an EN standard Level 2 diving certification (e.g. PADI rescue diver or equivalent certification from a recognised certification agency) and have a minimum of 30 logged dives. Candidates who do not have both of these requirements may be allowed to enroll on the condition that by the end of the first academic year they would have proof that they acquired both requirements.
