- Students in all academic undergraduate programmes at AUM must complete the General Education program, which complements and contributes to the fulfilment of the mission of the University. The General Education Program comprises five thematic areas as follows: ‘Communication in a Global Society’, ‘Data and Quantitative Literacy’, ‘Scientific Inquiry’, ‘Tradition and Innovation in Arts’, Understanding our Past’. AUM requires that students take a set of courses beyond their major to develop their understanding of broad disciplinary areas and the connection between and among them. Courses approved for General Education stress experimental and activity-based learning and the application of knowledge to concrete situations.
