Prerequisites

The entry criteria for the CMBS DBA programme require students to hold: - a Level 7 Master’s Qualification, and/or 10 years of industry experience in a leadership/managerial role. Students who do not posses one or the other of the above entry requirements may still apply by submitting a 1000-word motivation letter highlighting their academic or professional achievements and giving reasons why they feel they are eligible to enrol on the said programme. The CMBS Quality Admissions Ethics and Examinations Committee (QAEEC) will then determine whether such candidates are eligible. In addition, all candidates must prove that they have an academic or professional knowledge of key financial and marketing business practices and processes, since these are essential concepts that any professional business executive needs to possess. In the absence of such proof, candidates will be conditionally approved to follow the Executive DBA programme and will need to successfully complete two modules at MQF, 7 focusing on strategic marketing and strategic financial planning that may be followed at CMBS or any other comparable organisation, to satisfy this condition and thereafter be eligible to receive the final Executive DBA qualification. All students must be proficient users of the English Language across 4 skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking). Students for whom English is not a native or near-native language must provide an IELTS result at minimum 6.5 (with no less than 6.0
