- The Master’s degree in Crime and Intelligence Analysis is a MQF/EQF Level 7 education. Students who have successfully completed a MQF/EQF level 6 education are eligible to participate in the Master. There is no requirement to have attained a particular classification (e.g., 2:1 or 2:2). There will be no restrictions on who can apply to undertake the MSc, and applicants do not need to be in relevant employment to be eligible for admission. The programme is designed to be accessible to a broad range of learners, including those seeking to enter the field, upskill, or change careers. For students not currently employed in a relevant role, the practical project component of the programme will be supported through structured case studies, simulated data sets provided by the EFI, use of software for which licenses are provided by the EFI, and guided project work under academic supervision. In terms of entry and exit pathways, students will be able to apply directly to the Postgraduate Certificate (PgC), Postgraduate Diploma (PgD), or full MSc programme. Additionally, all students enrolled in the MSc will have the option to exit with a PgC or PgD certificate, depending on the credits completed. This flexible structure is intended to widen participation and accommodate professionals who may wish to engage with the programme in stages.
