Entry requirements

Prerequisites

Normal Entry i. Pass STPM or its equivalent, with minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in 2 subjects and a credit in English at SPM level or its equivalent; or ii. Pass STAM with minimum grade of Jayyid and a credit in English at SPM level or its equivalent; or iii. Pass Diploma (MQF Level 4) or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in English at SPM level or its equivalent; or iv. Pass Diploma (MQF Level 4) in Media and Communication or its equivalent; or v. Pass Matriculation/Foundation/Asasi or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in English at SPM level or its equivalent; or vi. Pass UEC with minimum Grade B in 5 subjects including English; or vii. Other recognised equivalent qualifications. Note: The credit requirement in English at SPM level for candidates (i), (ii), (iii) and (v) can be exempted if the qualifications comprise of English and the achievement is equivalent to/above the credit requirement of the subject at SPM level. (Equality of the subjects is the responsibility of HEP and the HEP needs to have strong internal policies/procedures in assessing the equality). APEL entry • Malaysian; and • Candidate must be 21 years old and above in the year of application being made; and • Have previous working experience/learning relevant to the field applied; and • Pass APEL Assessment for Bachelor Degree (conducted by OUM). English competency requirement for international students: Score of TOEFL 500 or IELTS 5.0 or equivalent.
