Academic requirements Open entry. International students will be individually assessed to ensure they are ready for this study. English Language requirements If English is not your first language, you must provide: New Zealand University Entrance, OR Overall Academic or General IELTS 5.0 with no individual band score lower than 5.0 (achieved in one test completed in the last two years), OR Acceptable alternative evidence of the required IELTS (see here for internationally recognised proficiency tests and proficiency outcomes for international students). If you need to improve your English Language skills, we offer a wide range of English programmes. This programme is run subject to minimum numbers. Please note: The hairdressing industry is a physically demanding environment. Please make sure you feel comfortable entering into this industry. We might invite you for a chat with the Programme Coordinator as part of our application process. This might be a phone call, an informal meeting or attendance at an Information Night. We just want to make sure all applicants are aware of the physical requirements of this programme. Selection process You may be asked to have an interview with the Programme Coordinator. This interview may be a phone call, a meeting or attendance at an information night.
