Medical Engineering Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc) Faculty of Engineering and Information Tehnology TÎRGU MUREŞ Program description The Medical Engineering (IMD) study program offers a generous framework of university education for young people interested in applied engineering sciences but, at the same time, to care for medicine is a passion. It works within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology of UMFST G.E. Palade Târgu Mureș starting in 2019. The program is authorized by ARACIS with a tuition capacity of 60 students/year. The educational package is designed in the medicine-man-technology interface paradigm and offers graduates skills in the two fields of Medical Engineering (according to the BMESBiomedical Enfineering Society): Medical devices: equipment, materials and technologies, including IT, with a role in the diagnosis, investigation, monitoring, treatment and rehabilitation of patients; Clinical engineering: design, development, support and services for medical devices and their safe operation according to standards. The educational process takes place alongside teaching staff with recognized professional and scientific skills – engineers, IT doctors, pharmacists, the latest learning technologies, innovative teaching methods and digital information resources.
