Mathematics Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc) Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science Bucharest Program description This program offers a general preparation in pure and applied mathematics. It consists in introductory courses in Algebra (Groups, Rings, Modules, Galois theory, Number theory), Logic, Mathematical analysis (Differential and inegral calculus in one and several real variables, Complex analysis, Measure theory, Functional analysis), Computer science, Ordinary differential equations, Partial derivatives equations, Geometry (Affine, Euclidean and Projective, Differential geometry of curves and surfaces, Manifolds), Probability theory, Statistics, Operational research, General mechanics, Astronomy. Optional courses of Criptography are offered too. An two years optional module of pedagogigal topics (Pedagogy, Psychology, Mathematics teaching methods) is available.Bachelors are prepared to continue with a master in mathematics or in other scientific or economic areas, and/or to to work in industry or education.
