Romanian Language and Literature - Modern Language and Literature Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc) Faculty of Letters and Sciences PLOIEŞTI Program description The section of Romanian-English offers many courses in Romanian language and literature and English language and literature that can tailor to our future students’ ambitions and interests. Our undergraduates learn from leading academic staff driven by excellence and creativity. Our undergraduates will acquire the following professional competences: they will be able to use concepts in the field of general linguistics, theory of literature and comparative literature; to describe the phonetic, lexical and grammatical system of Romanian and English; to produce, translate texts and interact verbally; to analyse literary phenomena in the context of the two reference cultures, to communicate efficiently. Several transversal competences will also be developed as follows: using the components of the field languages and literatures in perfect accordance with professional ethics; working in teams, communicating with a variety of interlocutors and assuming specific roles; organizing an individual project of lifelong learning, fulfilling learning objectives by information activities, by team projects and participating in institutional programmes of personal and professional development.
