Nutrition and Dietetics Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc) Faculty of Pharmacy TÎRGU MUREŞ Program description The 21st century is a century of population metabolic diseases, which are based on major nutritional imbalances; this is the case of diabetes, obesity, dyslipidemias, cardiovascular diseases, whose incidence, already high, is continuing to increase. The range of therapeutic measures applicable to these conditions is fundamentally based on prompt, integrated, and continuous nutritional intervention. Their prevention likewise requires the implementation, at the population level, of a new lifestyle that includes principles of healthy nutrition. The educational process offered by this study program ensures the formation of new knowledge, skills and abilities, which will serve both for professional training and as a communication and inter-relationship link with other specialists in the health field. The nutritionist plays an important role in maintaining health, physical performance, in the prevention and treatment of various diseases, in community education, in the development of public health policies, food service management, food quality expertise and consumer information.
