Pastoral Orthodox Theology Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc) Faculty of Theology ARAD Program description The Pastoral Orthodox Theology undergraduate programme provides a highly qualitative formative education aimed at forming servants of God as well as specialists in theology and the ecclesia. During the first two years of theological studies, special emphasis is placed on the study of vocational (Confessional Studies), biblical (The study of the Old and New Testaments) and historical disciplines (The History of the Romanian Orthodox Church, Universal Church History, Patristics) in addition to developing abilities pertaining to IT and foreign languages. The last two years are dedicated to theological disciplines that imply the development of cognitive and intellectual abilities (Dogmatic Theology, Moral Theology, Orthodox Spirituality, The History and Philosophy of Religions, Fundamental Theology and Missiology) in addition to field related disciplines that are paramount to the development of clergy (Homiletics, Catechetical studies, Canon Law, Pastoral Theology). A vast array of facultative courses is on offer as well in order to promote a better understanding of field related subjects.
