About this programme
Industrial Environmental Engineering and Protection Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc) ”Cristofor Simionescu” Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection IAŞI Program description The mission of the BSc program in Environmental Engineering and Protection in Industry (EEPI) is to train environmental engineers to design technological processes, industrial equipment, installations and innovative products for environmental applications in industry. EEPI graduates are taught and trained in the design, operation and control of industrial systems for air, soil, water, wastewater and solid waste treatments. Furthermore, they are able to promote, design, implement and operate cleaner production, pollution prevention and sustainability principles. The EEPI curriculum is continuously improved considering the European market demands, new research in environmental engineering and is supported by an excellent research foundation from the staff and infrastructure perspective. The transferred knowledge covers 2 complementary directions: the basic engineering toolkit for understanding concepts, theories and the application principles of environmental engineering disciplines; and the second one focused on developing practical engineering skills. The graduates (engineers) are able to design and operate industrial systems, to select an optimal solution from multiple technological alternatives of processes, projects, products.
