Digital Production Systems Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc) Faculty of Machine Manufacturing and Industrial Management IAŞI Program description This study program focuses on a major topic of manufacturing: the engineering training in digital production systems field. A complex set of skills is provided, related to this production systems as complex mechatronic systems: computer assisted structures and work pieces design, optimization, maintenance assurance and exploitation, essential skills on mechanical manufacturing processes, automation and computer numerical control (CNC), flexible systems and robotics. First part of the curriculum includes two years basic engineering training - courses of mathematics, physics, mechanics, technology of materials, strength of materials, machine elements, mechanisms, computer programming. The second part consists of two year of specialization related with courses of machine tools design, fundamentals of surface generating, cutting processes, automatic and CNC machines, electrical and hydraulic drive and control of machines, flexible systems, manufacturing technologies, robotics and mechanical manufacturing management. We are using the latest teaching techniques, machines and equipment in order to provide a high-level training to graduates, according to requirements of manufacturing industry.
