Welding Engineering Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc) Faculty of Machine Manufacturing and Industrial Management IAŞI Program description The program focuses on welding technologies, including both fundamentals and specialized topics related to modern applications. The curricula starts with two-year basic education including courses such as mathematics, physics, computer programming, materials engineering, technical drawing, computer-based numerical calculus, machine elements, mechanics of fluids, mechanisms, mechanical vibrations, thermodynamics, hydraulic and pneumatic machines, machine tools and cutting, electronics, quality control and technical measurements, fundamentals of technical creativity, computer aided design. It continues with two-year specialization related to welding processes theory, pressure welding technology, fusion welding technology, machine manufacturing technology, welding equipment, production management, technology of machine repairing and assembling, computer-assisted technological design, designing and testing of welded structures, special welding processes, technology design for flexible systems, automation and robotics in technological processes and quality assurance in production systems. Programming skills enable our graduates to implement software solutions for welding technologies.
