About this programme

Regional Identities in Central-Eastern Europe Master programme (Ma/ MSc) Faculty of History and Philology ALBA IULIA Program description The MA programme named Regional Identities in East Central Europe has been designed in order to offer information about the history of Transylvania to our students, being very well known the fact that the province mentioned above has an old tradition of a territory in which several populations have lived here. A very important aspect is represented by the fact that Alba Iulia has a tradition of urban life stretching back for two millennia. The existence of communities made up of Romanians, Hungarians, Jews and Germans is a testimony of plural identities tradition. As a result, several disciplines in our programme are about Transylvanian architecture, Hungarian culture and civilization or about several other Transylvanian institutional aspects. After graduating this MA programme our students will be able to work in several jobs such as researchers, History teachers, tourist guide as well as to continue their study at the next level, that is the doctoral programme.
