Vocal Music Performance Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc) Faculty of Letters CRAIOVA Program description The studies aim at: Accurate correlation between the lyrics and soundtrack based on auditory abilities (with a higher level of difficulty for vocal performance) and musical writing and reading abilities (including the interior musical hearing); identification and description of different cultures, stylistic trends and musical genres, and the accurate use of basic components of classical techniques of composition and musical analysis; analysis and performance of an iconic selection of musical/ cameral/ vocal/ symphonic repertoire related to a particular voice, using the necessary technical and interpretative vocal and integrating specific knowledge and skills; use of hearing, vocal, language, kinetic and expressive abilities for musical and theatrical performance - specific to the lyrical genre - with a view to integration in the musical group (musical theatre), in drama performance, interpersonal communication, stage movement, etc.; building a personal interpretative style, starting from the selection, approach and study of the repertoire/character to public performance.Possible future job positions in accordance with COR (Romanian acronym: Romanian Classification of Occupations): Lyrical Artist; Opera Lyrical Artist; Artistic consultant; Chorister; Opera Chorister; Middle school teacher; Music reviewer; Singer.
