Light and Sound Design in the Performing Arts Master programme (Ma/ MSc) Theatre Faculty Bucharest Program description This Master's programme is aimed at those who want to specialize in light and sound design. It is, moreover, the only study programme in Romania that trains light designers and sound designers for performance institutions. Indispensable to performance creators in contemporary theatre, the two occupations require a different type of professional training than that of sound or lighting technicians, rising to the rank of art and having its own specificity. The curriculum focuses on theoretical and practical disciplines that offer students the opportunity to understand the particularities of light and sound design, taking into account key elements in the realization of a production and their contribution to the aesthetic construction of the performance." Also, the students of the Master's are encouraged, during the two years of studies, to propose new and creative solutions to complement the theories and concepts that shape emerging forms of theatre and performance art.
