Nutrition Master programme (Ma/ MSc) FACULTY OF FOOD SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING GALAŢI Program description The growing interest in the production and consumption of healthy foods in the European community underlined the need to train new specialists to know the mechanisms of nutritional research and the production of foods for human nutrition, optimal from a nutritional point of view. Attesting food safety as a priority in the European space requires well-trained graduates, able to correlate the biochemical characteristics of food with their nutritional effect and know the importance of food value, nutritional qualities of food in ensuring the health of the population. The mission of Nutrition study program consists in the training of specialists in the field of nutrition, dietetics, eating behavior and food safety, with application in the food industry, public catering, school and social canteens, in order to ensure food quality, while promoting healthy eating in the community. The Nutrition study program responds to the social need of well-trained graduates who can take over managerial responsibilities for managing the nutritional quality of food products in complex technological processes.
