Music Bachelor programme (BA/ BSc) Faculty of Social and Humanistic Sciences ARAD Program description The mission of the specialization is both educational and research-oriented. This aspect is reflected in the following:a) The Bachelor's degree program in Music at UAV has a well-defined educational and scientific research mission. On the one hand, it aims to train qualified specialists in the field of music pedagogy through a teaching process carried out by faculty members. On the other hand, it strives to create valuable musicians, well-prepared with broad artistic and technical skills, who can contribute to preserving Romanian cultural heritage in the international value circuit, in line with the values of academic freedom, ethical integrity, and with modern professional and educational standards, both nationally and internationally. Additionally, the organization of scientific research and artistic creation is ensured through Research Centers that fulfill their scientific mission through publications, annual sessions at the faculty level, participation in national symposia, national projects, and individual programs within the department, studying the history, theory, aesthetics, artistic pedagogy, as well as the study of the artistic phenomenon and music pedagogy. At the same time, artistic creation is realized through the faculty's artistic seasons and personal contracts.b) The expected competencies of graduates are outlined in the curriculum and course syllabi. They are also clearly defined in the Diploma Supplement and correspond to the declared qualification.Program Objectives: The objectives and the competence profile developed in accordance with the identified needs of the labor market and the national qualifications framework are briefly presented below and in detail in the course syllabi within the curriculum.
