About this programme
No fees are charged for EU and EEA citizens, Swedish residence permit holders and exchange students. In the course, your reading ability in Swahili is further developed through the study of slightly more complex authentic texts from prose and poetry. These are provided with comments, glossaries and audio recordings. Your active vocabulary is expanded by around 500 words and phrases. Furthermore, you study word formation to facilitate passive understanding of unknown words. You practice simple communication through practical application of frequent constructions. Your translation skills are developed further, mainly from Swahili, but also into Swahili. Your linguistic knowledge of Swahili is expanded through the study of some specific grammatical categories. To be admitted to the course, students must have completed the course AF1213 Swahili III (7,5 hp), or the equivalent. Exception is made to the requirement for Swedish as a general entry requirement. Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits. What happens next? Further studies? Apply for a degree? Search for a job? How can you plan forwards to get your dream job?
