Theories in Gender Studies

About this programme

No fees are charged for EU and EEA citizens, Swedish residence permit holders and exchange students. This course will help you develop in-depth analytical skills in the field of Gender Studies. The course is structured around the study of central contemporary theoretical texts and active participation in seminars, in order to give you tools to develop a reflexive, theoretical approach to research done within the field. Students with a Bachelor'sdegree in Gender Studies, or a Bachelor'sthesis with a gender perspective written within another discipline, are eligible. Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits. The Faculty of Humanites premises are in the building Humanisten at Renströmsgatan 6. The facilities of the Department of Cultural Sciences are situated on the second floor of the building. Both Humanisten and the adjacent Humanities Library offer spacious study spaces and several group rooms.
